Run on Water - Bayfield Chamber & Visitor Bureau . Please Note --> This is a Past Event!! . Date 2/28/2009 Time 10:00 AM Event Description: Saturday, February 28 - Run on Water This family fun event is open to people of all ages and skill levels. Participants can choose to run, walk, ski, or snowshoe the 5-mile course across frozen Lake Superior from Bayfield to Madeline Island and back. Registration: 10:00am at the Bayfield Inn Fees: $15 per person; $10 age 10 & under Free registration with at least $50 in pledge money. Pledge form and registration form are available online or can be picked up at the Bayfield Chamber & Visitor Bureau and the Bayfield Recreation Center. Race Begins: 11 am Checkpoints and turn-around will feature refreshments and snacks. In the event that the Ice Road conditions are deemed unsafe, an alternate route will be used.
